About Us

Established in 1965, as a federally operated boarding school under the Bureau of Indian Affairs, it now operates as a grant school governed by the Navajo Nation Council, the Central Navajo Education Line Office and the Bureau of Indian Education.

Many Farms Community School (1965) is an American Indian, tribal grant, community and day school for grades K to 8, distinguished by its emphasis on academic excellence and on the development of character, creativity and Navajo culture.

The School provides athletics, arts, leadership, and community service programs, integrating Navajo culture, information technology and daily participation in sports. Our faculty works diligently to help students understand their potential and to prepare them to become leaders in their chosen fields. MFCS encourages students to strive for excellence, to demonstrate respect and to develop both an enduring sense of responsible citizenship & an understanding of their place in the Diné and global community.
